Scott, I couldn’t agree more. It once again demonstrates that good leadership skills are applicable (necessary) in a wide range of activities and contexts if one is to bring about success. It’s not just for CEOs.

Great Leaders are developed not born.
Every year we put our management team through a different version of the "Leadership Model" from HRDT (www.hrdt.net) We find the self-examination process coupled with the workbook and facilitation has a real impact on our company. The yearly review keeps us fresh and focused.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. We have a few votes for the nurture over nature school of leadership development. I'm inclined to agree. The lessons of leadership are learned from experience and observing others. We're fortunate when we have good leadership role models no matter where we find them.
