Camille Macchio

Scott, thanks for focusing on one of the key indicators of effective communication.
In working with clients, I have had to learn to be comfortable with the silence after asking an open ended question. The silence allows my clients to give critical thought to the question without feeling the need to respond immediately. The more silent I am, the more forthcoming the client. We can then get to work on more pressing challenges that have been identified because of my silence.

congratulations Camille, on being comfortable with silence. i still struggle with the discomfort of silence. intuitively i know it is important. alas, knowing is not the same as doing.
