"Teacher as leader" is a concept bandied about in the leadership development arena. However, I find lacking good examples of this concept other than encouraging leaders to tell their stories when up in front of a class of new managers. Neither Paul or Phil "tell" their story...they truly teach their students. Thanks for this concrete example of the concept. Thanks too for a bit of economic history, sports theory and a wonderful mini-teach that I can use in my own classes. : )
